![]() ![]() Battery testing conducted using Sub-6 GHz non-standalone 5G (ENDC) connectivity. Average battery life during testing was approximately 29 hours. Pixel 6a: For “24-hour”: Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. For both claims: Battery testing conducted in California in early 2022 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that, for the “up to 72 hour” claim only, Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Battery testing conducted on a major carrier network. For “Up to 72 hours”: Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of limited other features that are default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity). Average battery life during testing was approximately 31 hours. Rendering can be a bit laggy compared to another viewer I've long used when panning through a folder of images, but iits rendering quality seems pretty good otherwise.Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro: For “24-hour”: Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby, and use of other features. The controls are intuitive and other than my caveats above, is generally unobtrusive. If you have it set to "Actual Size", then images that exceed my display dimensions are not completely visible. Generally speaking, I want to see them in their actual size, with over-sized ones reduced to fit. The last gripe I have is with the fitting of my images to the window. I know they hide "eventually", but I would actually rather just have a border on top than have those buttons overlaid onto my photos. I'm also not a fan of havng the window "close/minimize/zoom" buttons overlaid on my images when displayed. ![]() It's unnecessary if you know the keyboard commands already and there should be an option to not have that appear. The interface is minimal indeed with borderless windows, but where it fails for me is primarily the on-screen controls that pop up whenever my move my mouse. I also prefer to see my images in their actual size, with the exception of images that are of a higher resolution than my display, in which case they should be resized to fit automatically. In a graphics viewer, I like a minimal interface with no distractions.
